It's a number so big it's almost difficult to comprehend. It's $2.38 billion, and it's the amount of money the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill just finished raising....

There's no mistaking that all the money raised makes Carolina better in significant ways. The money creates 208 new endowed professorships; it creates 577 new scholarships for students and 196 new fellowships.
