UNC exceeds lofty goal

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has just completed one of the more impressive fundraising efforts in higher education. Over the past eight years, the university has raised $2.38 billion, the fifth largest amount ever in higher education. The total exceeds the original $1.8 billion goal by $580 million.

It is an astonishing accomplishment, and if university chancellors are graded these days by how much money they raise, then Chancellor James Moeser gets an A-plus. Click here to read more.
